Typhoons Saola and Damrey hit the Chinese Provinces Liaoning and Hebei
Typhoon Damrey hit the Liaoning and Hebei Province over the weekend causing severe damage to life and properties. Due to this more than 110,000 people have been left homeless. The Typhoon also caused heavy rains and floods.
Nearly 1.46 million people of 43 counties and urban districts in 10 cities of Liaoning were affected by heavy rains and floods. More than 10,000 houses in the province had collapsed and about 17,000 were damaged. And in Hebei nearly 9,900 houses were destructed in the flooding, and 104,000 houses were damaged.
