The
Government of the India has decided to review the viability, standards
of regional rural banks and their manpower and working. A 6-member committee
headed by the executive director of the National Bank for Agriculture and rural
development, S.K.Mitra. The government wants the committee to examine economic condition of
RRB and their branches and whether they would be profitable
after migrating to a new technology. The Main Agenda of this panel is to
make stronger the RRB.
