stood at 22.4 Billion Dollar
- India’s exports for the month of July 2012 stood at 22.4
billion US dollar in July this year due to the global demand slowdown.
Exports for the month of July 2012 decline by - 14.8 % as
compared to 26.3 billion US dollar during the same month of 2011.
While imports during July 2012 were 37.9 billion US
dollar as compared to 41.1 billion US dollar in July 2011. Balance
of Trade stood at 15.5 billion US dollar during July 2012
as compared to 14.8 billion US dollar in July 2011.
- The cumulative figure for exports for the period of April-July
2012 shows at 97.6 billion US dollar as compared to 102.8
billion US dollar in April-July 2011; the cumulative imports
for April-July 2012 stood at 153.2 billion US dollar as
compared to 163.8 billion US dollar in April-July 2011. The
cumulative figure for the Balance of Trade for the period of April-July
2012 stood at 55.6 billion US dollar as compared to 61.0
billion US dollar in April-July 2011. This trade data were
released by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry on 14 August 2012.
