A New Oxidant in the Atmosphere

A New Oxidant in the Atmosphere
Scientists for the first time scientists found equivocal evidence of another oxidant named X, which plays a vital role in the formation of gases like sulphuric acid in the atmosphere. Till now scientist thought that the combination of OH (Hydroxyl Radical) Oxidant with sulphur dioxide (SO2) was the reason behind the formation of Sulphuric acid in the atmosphere. The results are published on 9 August 2012 in Nature. The scientist said the new oxidant has” Significant capacity’ to Oxidize Sulphur dioxide.
