India Post soon implements m-money transfer service
The Department of Posts will soon implement a mobile-based money remittance service in various parts of the country. This service implemented as pilot project in 4 Postal Circle Kerala, Bihar, Punjab and Delhi.
What is M-Money transfer?
  1. Mobile Money Transfer is just another method to transfer money through electronic medium like Mobile Phone and Computer.
  2. Those intending to avail the service would get a secret code through SMS soon after the money is transferred.
  3. A similar message would be forwarded to the recipient who could then visit the nearest service-enabled post office and receive the money by submitting the code.
  4. This service would be operated by the department of post with technical assistance from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
