Scientists at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space
Studies (GISS) warned that most of Earth's land areas might face an
intense summer heat wave than what it faced between 1951 to 1980. NASA
revealed that over the past 30 years the northern hemisphere has
witnessed more "hot", "very hot" and "extremely
hot" summers.
Earth’s northern hemisphere, which comprises of 90 % of the planet’s land, has become much more likely to experience an extreme summer heat wave compared to a base period from 1951 to 1980.
