23 Indian-Americans have made it to the latest Forbes' annual list of the world's "brightest young stars" under the age of 30.

- The Forbes 3rd annual '30 Under 30' list comprises young achievers in 15 different fields like finance, media, sports and education etc.
- In total 450 young achievers; 30 each in diverse 15 categories have been given this honour for remarkable achievements which showcase their exceptional potential.
- The list comprises celebrities like pop singers Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, founder of the blogging platform Tumblr David Karp, tennis player Maria Sharapova and Pakistani girls' rights activist Malala Yousafzai.
Notable Indians:
- Kavita Shukla: She, all of 29, has invented and patented FreshPaper that extend the lifespan of 'fruit and veggies’ by two to four times by virtue of edible organic spices which this compostable paper contains.
- Sam Chaudhary at 27 is the cofounder of a software company that helps teachers track classroom behavior.
- 29-year-old Karan is one of the founder of 'GADCO' which is the largest producer of rice in Ghana.
- And then there is Eesha Khare (18) who forced everyone to sit up and take notice when she won the Young Scientist Award at the 2013 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for inventing a capacitor with the potential to charge cell phones within a minute.
