Vidyut Pariyojana' will comprise of 4 Pressurised Heavy Water
Reactors (PHWRs) of 700 MWe each. First phase of 2x700 Mwe reactors
is to be completed by 2020-21.
PHWRs : also at Kakrapar (Gujarat)
and Rawatbhata (Rajasthan) ; Fuel is natural uranium while heavy
water is used as moderator and coolant.
