Indian archers win two gold, one silver in Asian Grand Prix

Compound women team of Gagandeep Kaur, V Jyothi Surekha and P Lily Chanu defeated Iran in the final team event and took the first gold for the country.

  • In the ongoing 1st Asian Grand Prix Archery Championships at Bangkok Indian archers clinched 2 gold and 1 silver medals in the team events on 13th March 2014.
  • The women compound team included Gagandeep Kaur, V Jyothi Surekha and P Lily Chanu won gold.
  • In the Men’s Recurve, the team of Jayanta Talukdar, Tarundeep Rai and Kapil won gold.
  • Indian team of Abhishek Verma, Sandeep Kumar and Rajat Chouhan won silver in the Men’s compound section.

Note :
  1. 1st Asian Archery Grand Prix 2014 (World Ranking) is being organised in Bangkok from 10 March to 16 March 2014. 
  2. The event has been organised following the World Archery Rules for 2012 in both divisions Recurve and Compound.
