Solar cell study gets IICT Scientist National Award
  • Dr.Surya Prakash Singh, scientist at Inorganic and Physical chemistry division of the Indian Institute of chemical Technology (IICT), has been selected for National Academy of sciences, India (NASI) “Young Scientist Platinum Jubilee Award 2012”. He award for his contribution in the area of solar cell research.
  • He has been involved in novel C-C bond forming reactions and synthesis of new and highly efficient sensitizers for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC). The chemical increased the efficiency of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells to a record 11.4 per cent, breaking the record set five years ago.
