Mumbai’s Raj Bhavan gets ISO certification
The Raj Bhavan of Maharashtra here has achieved the distinction of becoming an ISO certified organisation having excellent management systems.
TheISO 9001: 2008awarded toRaj Bhavan in Mumbai, Maharashtrain recognition of the standard management practices adopted and implemented by the Governor’s Secretariat and its staff.
The certificate recognises that Raj Bhavan has established general and office related improvement check-lists and has also laid down standard operating procedures for all departments.
Raj Bhavan has set an example for other organizations in terms of efficiency, standards and quality of services.
Mumbai Raj Bhavan is perhaps the first Raj Bhavan in the country to have received the international level certification.
Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan accepted the ISO 9001:2008 certification from Mona Desai, director of AGSI, an ISO certification company, at Raj Bhavan.
Raj Bhavan has established and implemented management systems for all process in accordance with the ISO 9001:2008.
It has also established general and office related improvement checklists and laid down standard operating procedures for all departments.
